  • you know mate I have a bunch of broken or faulty phones that I hope can be fixed but honestly I just don't want to spend a cent on them because they're old. All of them are android I have a galaxy note 4 with non functional sim card, a Huawei mate 10 lite with a poorly replaced screen that the touch is wonky, a samsung m20 with a cracked display but working, an HTC 820G+ with the slowest response possible, a galaxy note 8 with a smashed display and no touch but still working etc...

Thank you that E8000 you used...didnt work... B7000, does that dry hard or soft? Have a safe New Year too 🤓

  • I'm watching this because I splashed water on my Pixel 3a and it's now stuck on infinite boot loop. It's so annoying to me that they make the phones so you can't open them easily. I could have removed the water immediately and saved the phone probably. Now I stuck it into the oven for as low heat as possible. placed it near a fan and still waiting for the water to evaporate and hopefully get it working again. How much e-waste are companies like Google and others responsible for just by making phones unserviceable by the owner? It's not like the planet is getting any colder. Lets just mine every last bit of finite resources left, f*ck it eh Google?

Not everybody is so responsible like Hugh. I would hope that no one can pick my old phone up after I gave it to a recycling factory.

Made me try to fix one of my Toshiba Satellite laptops that stopped working, it won't boot even though it turns on and I can hear the HDD and cooler starting up. I replaced the motherboard with a new one, transferring the CPU from the old motherboard to the new, but I guess that the CPU has been fried and it's gone.

  • So, here we use E8000 and F7000, you need to use rubber bands and apply pressure for 2 days, it keeps everything watertight and its fairly easy to open if you messed up something or something goes wrong

  • I would have loved to given you my iPod touch 4th generation. Even thought about fixing it myself. But then I saw your video calling it pretty much unrepairable. It needs the works. It still alive. But it needs a new screen, new power button, new home button, and a new battery. Like I said. I can get it to turn on. But considering the power button doesn’t work I have to plug it in, in order to get the screen to light up. And the battery is so depleted it pretty much doesn’t charge enough to get it to actually stay on. You really need to leave it alone for a while to get enough charge for maybe 5 minutes of screen time. I think it depletes the battery faster than it is charging at this point. I forget what iOS it is on exactly. But probably the last iOS version that the iPod touch support or close to it. I’m assuming iOS 6.something. I was still using the touch up until the end of 2015. When I got my iPhone 6s Plus which hopefully this Friday I’m finally replacing. Haven’t cracked my screen in the 5 years I’ve owned my plus. But the camera is all shaky. I glued a magnet to my phone (it’s actually just glued to the screen protector not the phone itself) just to hold the camera somewhat still. Lol

By contrast my iphone SE touch button and battery... a nightmare. By the way the touch button do not recognize the print due intentional ID pairing. But is Apple.

  • You have to wait for the dissolvant present in the glue to evaporate before trying to glue the display in place, 5 minutes should be enough Shoving the screen as soon as the glue is applied prevents it from curing properly and the display or any other thing you're gluing will come loose Also you should apply it on the phone body and screen so it sticks even stronger

    TaylorTaylor2 månader sedan
  • I wonder if E8000 is the Australian version of E6000 us Yanks use? E6K is good st! My biggest problems are getting the cap unscrewed when it's been put on with E6K all over the threads, and squeezing it out of the tube when it has hardened in the tube!

  • 5:35 for glue T-7000, B-7000, E-7000 hold the display correctly you have to apply it on both sides, display and case, wait around 3 minutes for the glue to dry a little and then join the display with the frame, only like this glue secures the display, glue on one side and immediately gluing the display the glue is still liquid and does not work properly.
